Manny Villafana to Headline MedInvest Cardiovascular and Neurovascular Investor Conference Dec 8-11
MedInvest, a leading healthcare, biotech, and medtech media and conference company, is pleased to announce the addition of Manny Villafana to the speaker lineup for its 2020 MedInvest Virtual Cardiovascular and Neurovascular Conference scheduled for Dec 8-11. Manny is a living legend in the cardiac and cardiovascular device space, having founded St. Jude Medical, the lithium iodine pacemaker, the bileaflet mechanical heart valve, and many other cardiac and cardiovascular devices. Manny's engineered devices have been used to treat over over 20 million patients.
Manny will join Peter Gombrich (Co-Founder, St. Jude Medical), David Neustaedter (Director of Venture Capital at Medtronic), Scott Ward (Former President of Medtronic Neurology and Cardiovascular), Paul Yeh (Former Director of Business Development and Acquisitions for Abbott), Tak Cheung (Principal, NEA), Bryan Grulke (Partner, Volcano Capital), Dr. Peter de Jaegere (Erasmus Medical Center, the Netherlands) and Dr. James Min (Founder and Director of the Dalio Institute of Cardiovascular Imaging at Cornell) and others.
The conference is expected to attract 150-200 investors spanning venture and public funds, family offices, strategics, and government and non-profit grant making entities, as well as 40+ screened, presenting companies.
The first two days will consist of half a dozen talks by KOLs and investor panels, headlined by the Founders of St. Jude Medical as the keynotes. The final two days will focus on individual one-on-one meetings between conference participants, including, but not limited to, meetings between investors and presenting companies, facilitated by MedInvest's virtual partnering system.
